Remedial massage for targeted muscle tension at Muscles Care Prahran

About Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is a focused form of hands-on treatment that works on specific areas of muscular tension, tenderness or restricted movement. It can suit clients dealing with desk-work strain, physical work, training load, general overuse or recurring tightness.

Before treatment, your therapist will ask what you are feeling, what may have contributed and what pressure you prefer. The session may focus on one or several areas rather than following a fixed full-body routine. Techniques can include deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching, joint mobilisation or cupping when appropriate.

Remedial Massage does not need to be extremely painful to be useful. Your therapist will communicate with you and adjust pressure so treatment remains purposeful and tolerable.

Went it broken, came out fixed. Jessie is a GUN. I was floating after the treatment. She is literally the best. I shouldn’t be writing such a rave review as I might never be able to get another slot with her. But credit where it’s due. She’s the best ever and I’ve been around for a long time.

Amazing place and therapists. I’ve been here a few times and every time is 10/10. They know the body and they know how to treat pain. I have chronic back issues and general stiffness from work so I have tried many places over the years but this is by far the best. Thank you again. Diarmuid

The team at MuscleCare are highly skilled and professional. They deliver serious pain and discomfort with enthusiasm and smiles that make the whole rehab process much easier to bear. I'm always impressed with their knowledge of anatomy, how they find the problem areas with deft touch, and have a range of options for dealing with your problems including massage needling and cupping. You'll feel safe, cared for and in good hands.

I have been managing chronic pain for the past decade, spent tens of thousands of dollars, seeing different therapists, specialists, doctors ect over the years. Unfortunately, gathering very little progress. The mobility, softness, reduction in pain and overall wellbeing I have experienced in my body over 5 sessions with Wiranda and the team at Muscles Care Prahran, is something I never thought possible. I highly recommend booking in an appointment, if you want a healthier and happier body. 🙌🏼😀

I had an incredible experience at Muscles Care Massage in Prahran. I went in with a lower back injury and received remedial massage, cupping and dry needling, and the treatment made a huge difference. The therapist was fantastic, knowledgeable, professional and really took the time to understand what was going on. I left feeling significantly better. Highly recommend if you're dealing with pain or need a quality remedial massage.

What is the difference between Remedial Massage and Deep Tissue Massage?

Remedial Massage is selected for a specific concern and may include assessment and varied techniques. Deep Tissue Massage mainly describes a firmer pressure style for muscular tension. A remedial session may include deep techniques, but strong pressure is not always necessary.

Eligible treatments with an approved provider may be claimed on the spot. Your exact rebate depends on your Extras policy, annual limits and provider eligibility.

Some clients experience temporary tenderness or post-treatment soreness, particularly after deeper work. This usually settles, but contact the clinic or seek medical advice if symptoms are severe or concerning.

Yes. Some clients book periodically for recurring work, training or lifestyle-related muscle tension. Your therapist can tailor the appointment even when there is no single injury.
